No worries! As closed-minded as Portland
might be, Houston is a melting pot of...lots of things. You'll be fine.

Troof. I stopped, in regards to opposites, at male/female, masculine/feminine. I don't really want to date a chick who acts like and looks like 'one of the guys'. That might work in Boston, NYC, LA, et al...not with me.

Exactly. Which is why Houston has had two homosexual mayors elected back-to-back.

I don't buy that whole opposites attract thing when it comes to dating. |
Great, great...yaddayaddayadda. Most people actually have enough common sense to believe likewise. Marriage isn't a right, for example, just like driving and voting are not, but I don't know many people who want to send gays or anyone else to a Saddam-like meat grinder, either. There is no such thing as separation of church and state, but there should be...as no doubt the present gubmint will look to punish those religious establishments who turn away gays who want to marry. You are also naive to believe that corporate elitism doesn't cross party lines. It's okay. Most folks realize that fact eventually.
Are you sure you are
really a liberal? Or is it just the catchy phrases that make you feel good?
Online-Girl Hamster Thread Basically, just don't look like one of these winners and you'd be fine.

Exactly. We just deal with common sense. We have better things to do than places like Washington state, where they can take six years to gender-neutralize their laws books.
Enjoy the change of pace, OP. Things actually get done here.
