The toughest part about dating in NYC is that there are so many choices, which leads people to pretty much behave in the flightiest way by default. This is particularly troubling for the ladies, since the demographics tip in the men's favor in terms of sheer numbers.

  1. Online dating photos, dating profile critiques + professional headshots SF / NYC / LA Contact me directly through my website.I WILL NOT READ PM's HERE. limit my search to u/usctrojan415.
  2. For all of those who are sick and disappointed by regular dating sites. Find redditors with shared interests and values towards relationships. This subreddit is for people in the New York City area who want to have a serious and meaningful relationship.

Context: I recently decided to delete all dating apps so I can be more present IRL and meet people organically instead of swiping in the Metaverse. So far so good. I'm making eye contact, flirting and getting positive responses. However... the other day a gorgeous police officer flirted back when I asked for directions in Grand Central station. We didn't have a conversation but *** I wish he asked for my number! Is that the trick? Extending the conversation to give men time to ask for the phone number? I can see how that would be a factor since everyone is always on the go and rarely stopping for a full conversation (at least in Manhattan). If you met your SO IRL while out and about in the city, how did it happen?

**Any stories, tips and suggestions outside of directly asking men for their number is appreciated... Why? I want my potential date to express his interest and ask. Simple.
